Director & Business Growth Expert
I have been in business since 1980. I began my first business venture selling car accessories to shops and garages. The business was sold in 1984 when I then went into property developing and contractual refurbishment in London and surrounding Counties until 1989. Since 1989, then into the 90s, and to the present day I have been at the coal face offering clients/customers good customer service delivering products and services, building a business that delivers quality and focusing on the customer needs.
Director of Learning
I started my career in training and development, teaching Business Studies and IT in colleges of Higher Education and then progressed to teaching these subjects and Key Skills in secondary schools. I then took on training and development roles such as ‘Community Care Provider’, designing and delivering the mandatory courses and assessing the NVQs. Whilst in this role I gained valuable experience in HR and running the agency in the absence of a manager. I am passionate about this industry and decided to combine my experience with my husband’s experience of business creation and development to create Apple Training Academy.
I am a highly motivated and fully qualified AAT professional, with experience in all aspects of Accounting and Administration. I have worked at Apple Training Academy Ltd for over 3 years which has given me experience in a Managerial role amongst other things. I have previous experience working for large and small organisations and have been responsible for Monthly Management Accounting, Year End Accounting, Cash Flow Forecasting, Payroll, Purchase Ledger Accounting, Sales Ledger Accounting and Credit Control. All of this enables our company to meet the expectations of our customers, industry regulators, awarding bodies and the wider community. We pride ourselves on being approachable and our ability to support those looking to progress within their role and industry. I have previous experience in customer service and management roles in high pressured industries.

I joined Apple Training, already with over 25 years experience within the sales industry. I have held senior and managerial positions with Yellow Pages, Barclaycard and BMW amongst others. As National Sales Manager my passion is delivery excellence within all sales related aspects of our company and at all points of contact with our customers, whilst coaching and supporting our team to ensure the highest standards at all times.
Business Support & Customer Service Advisor
I have been employed as a Customer Support Adviser since 2013. My role includes covering reception duties, as well as answering and fielding calls to relevant departments. I work within the Sales Department, arranging and booking appointments and meetings for our sales manager to attend. Prior to working here, I worked as a Training Coordinator/Receptionist for an organisation who employ blind people. Like myself, as well as other disabled people, to provide them with the opportunity to enter and sustain mainstream employment. I enjoy my work here, as I feel I am understanding and able to engage with people and will always attempt to resolve any issue to the best of my ability.
After leaving school, I completed an apprenticeship in L2 Business Administration. This gave me the foundation to learn the importance of organisational skills and accuracy. Once finishing my apprenticeship, I applied as a Centre Administrator in a Training centre working with young people between the ages of 16 – 25 years old. This enabled me to gain the experience I needed to work at Apple Training Academy. I am currently completing a L3 Business Administration qualification whilst continuing my work with Apple Training Academy.
