Level III Diploma in Accounting (RQF)  603/0182/X Guided Learning Hours:  348 Overview The Level III Diploma in Accounting is designed to equip you with the skills, knowledge, resources and expertise to work within an accounting role. This qualification aims to provide you with the specialist knowledge of intermediate accountancy.  It covers a wide range of financial processes, including final accounts for sole traders and partnerships, reports and returns and professional ethics. You will need to complete the following 6 mandatory units:
  • Accounting software and producing reports
  • Accounting transactions and adjustments
  • Managing cash using spreadsheet software
  • Managing yourself in a finance and accounting environment
  • Prepare final accounts for unincorporated businesses
  • Supporting and influencing decision making in accounting
Assessment and Grading You will complete a series of assignments, including worksheets as well as providing evidence of your working competencies.  You will not need to sit any external exams. Entry Requirements – There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.  This qualification is suitable for those who work within a number of industries and job roles.  It provides you with an opportunity to demonstrate your competence and knowledge in a wide range of accountancy areas. Progression opportunities – Once you achieve this qualification you could progress into employment in a number of accountancy roles and/or continue your study in this or other areas such as:
  • Level 4 Diploma in Accounting (RQF)
Completion  Depending on the candidate, it is anticipated that you will be able to complete this within 6 to 9 months. You are required to complete this qualification within a maximum of 12 months.
