Introduction: Are you a qualified Assessor with experience delivering QCF Diplomas/NVQs? Do you have experience working in the Health & Social Care or Childcare industry to management level? Are you experienced at delivering short courses in Health & Social Care. Are you looking for a flexible and challenging role delivering QCF Diplomas/NVQs in the workplace?
We are a family based private training provider specialising in the Health & Social Care and Child Care Industry and are looking for QCF/ NVQ Assessors to join our growing team. These exciting positions will allow you to draw on your experience of the Health & Social Care or Childcare industry to provide learners in their workplaces with support and training, enabling them to realise their career potential and to improve their knowledge and skills in the industry.
This role will suit an experienced assessor who has previously worked in a Work Based Learning environment, assessing within an adult residential care setting or child care setting at Levels 2, 3 and Level 5 in Leadership and Management. However, we are also willing to support an individual through their assessor training if they have significant work experience.
This role will suit an excellent communicator who has experience of the Care Industry to management level and is looking to work with and support learners. The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate a strong and sound background working directly in Health and Social Care / Child Care, possibly a Residential or Nursing background and holding a Manager’s post or similar position. The candidate should also have good computer skills as a majority of the assessing will be carried out on-line.
Your specific responsibilities include:
- Visiting learners in the workplace and assessing / tutoring them in their Diploma qualifications
- Maintaining learners portfolios using an e-portfolio system to agree standards
- Planning and implementing assessments and course reviews with learners
- Working closely with Verifiers and Management
It is essential that you are able to work independently and manage your own time. Due to the location of learners a full driving licence and access to a car are essential. Experience of both the Adult Care and the Childcare industry would be advantageous. A teaching Qualification (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, CertEd, PGCE) is also required to be able to deliver the short courses.
You will receive competitive portfolio rates, with payments being made on a monthly basis.
