We are a family-based training provider specialising in providing short courses and vocational qualifications. Our combined working experience in our specialist subjects amounts to well over 200 years!
Husband and wife team, Adrian and Julie Cook first formed the company in 2011, previously trading as Apple Learning. Julie is a Training and Development specialist with subject competencies in Health and Social Care, Child Care and Management. Adrian is a Business Development specialist. Following Julie’s redundancy from a training management role in Central London, they combined their skills to form Apple Training Academy.

Our courses give you the skills you need to train your workforce or other students, assess the vocational competency of your staff, and internally moderate the performance of teaching assessors.
We cater for all experience levels:
- PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) is the starter teaching course. It enables you to train your own staff in-house, or train students in colleges.
- TAQA (The Assessing Quality Assessment) used to be known as the A1 Assessor Award. It teaches you to assess students’ performance in vocational qualifications.
- AQA (Assuring Quality Assessment) used to be known as the V1 Award. It lets you moderate the performance of assessors.
Develop your career in Accounting
We can take from an introduction into Bookkeeping Level 2 all the way through to AAT Level 3 in Accounting.
The AAT is the most recognised route to qualifications in Accounting. These qualifications will develop your pathway to your accounting career. You have a few options in what you can choose to do. You can choose to study only one of the qualifications, take things easy by trying the AAt Level 2 Bookkeeping and then moving on to the Accounting qualifications or take the AAT Level 2 Accounting and the AAT Level 3 Accounting, one after the other.
To start off with, you do not need to be employed in an accounting role to get this qualification. If you are, however, you may be able to use your existing work as some of the evidence towards your qualification.
